The minimum system requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts have been released, and this time they’re official! Oh, and they’re almost identical to the minimum system requirements released by Nvidia at the start of the month, which we were assured were not official or real or anything.

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.

There are two differences between these and the specs claimed by Nvidia earlier. The first is that the game now only requires 40GB of hard drive space instead of 50GB. The second is that the required Nvidia card has dropped from a GTX 550 Ti to a GTS 450. Everything else is identical.

Oh, sorry, there is a third difference – Nvidia also posted up “Recommended” as a GTX 780. Activision, on the other hand, haven’t listed any recommended specs at all. SUSPICION.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is due out on 5 November, meaning that Activision is attempting to co-opt Guy Fawkes Night.
