Call Of Duty Vanguard Alpha Patch Notes And Beta Content

Sledgehammer Games shares Vanguard alpha patch notes, beta content

Getting ready to go back to World War Two

Last weekend, players got their first hands-on experience with Call of Duty: Vanguard during the alpha period. The alpha allowed fans to hop into the new Champion Hill game mode. Here, players battled it out in 2v2 and 3v3 combat to be the last team standing. Sledgehammer Games has shared the patch notes from the alpha, which will come into effect in the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta.

As well as visual updates to the lighting, the game has received some audio tuning. The footstep volume of enemies and teammates has been slightly increased and weapon volume slightly decreased. Also, the volume of the announcer and the amount of call outs has been reduced. In terms of Champion Hill, the main fix that the developer has addressed is the spawns. Frequently, players experienced issues with spawning too close to each other. This has been fixed, as well as the awkward spawn on the Courtyard map at the start of a round.

When the beta kicks off, it will not be short on content. It will feature yet another new game mode which will go by the name of Patrol. The mode is based on the classic Hardpoint mode and you score points by keeping up with the Patrol points. In addition, you will be able to play Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Champion Hill. Search and Destroy will join the mix in week two of the beta, for those anticipating this classic mode. When you’re playing the core multiplayer modes, you’ll have the opportunity to level up your weapons to level 30.

Vanguard beta content played your way

One feature the Vanguard beta will contain is Combat Pacing. This allows you to select what intensity you play the game at. Tactical is classic Call of Duty combat that all players know and love. Next, Assault contains balanced combat pacing featuring 20-28 players. Finally, Blitz is suited to players that prefer action-packed lobbies. For this mode, the player count will be between 28-48.

It’s promising to see the developer deploying a patch as the Vanguard alpha moves to its public beta stage. The Call of Duty: Vanguard early access beta for PC will start on September 16-17. Then, the open beta will begin on September 18-20.
