Warzone Pacific Mg42 Class

How to build the best Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific MG42 class

Here comes the MG42.

The first season of Call of Duty: Vanguard saw the launch of Warzone Pacific. The integration between both titles expanded the weapon pool, and there are now more options than ever to choose from. Light machine guns, such as the MG42, are powerful primary options. After all, the Bren has been the long range meta since it was added to the battle royale. With the best attachments, you can build an MG42 class that can take over Warzone Pacific.

Already, the MG42 has a strong fire rate, which is a desirable characteristic for a light machine gun. As the MG42 does have some recoil, this class will focus on improving the accuracy of the weapon, allowing you to take advantage of the fast firing gun.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: VDD 680mm 31M
  • Stock: Krausnick S91MG
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 125 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded
  • Optic: M38/ Slate 2.5x Custom

Let’s begin by breaking down the class. The first attachment is the Mercury Silencer muzzle. It will keep your shots hidden from the mini map by providing you with sound suppression. At the same time, a boost will be given to your recoil control. When you are selecting a barrel, the VDD 680mm 31M is a go-to option for transforming the light machine gun into one that is highly accurate and controllable, with reduced scope sway and gun bob. Also, the Krausnick S91MG stock will raise the horizontal recoil control and aim down sight speed. To maximize the accuracy, the M1941 Hand Stop will give you even more control when firing.

Load your MG42 with hard hitting bullets

When you are selecting a magazine, the 6.5 Sakura 125 Round Drums add numerous benefits to your gun. You will experience increased movement speed, recoil control, accuracy, aim down sight speed, and fire rate. Although this attachment will result in your damage taking a hit, the improved fire rate will make the gun incredibly effective. Moreover, the Lengthened ammunition type will better your bullet velocity to ensure it packs a punch at range. To take the maximum starting ammunition to the battlefield, equip the Fully Loaded perk.

Next, the Polymer Grip reduces the penalty from taking enemy bullets with added flinch resistance. Pairing this with the Tight Grip perk will see you gain accuracy and recoil during sustained fire. Finally, complete your Warzone Pacific MG42 class with the M38/ Slate 2.5x Custom optic. The ability to switch between 1.35x and 2.5x magnification will provide more versatility.

The MG42 is best suited to long range fights in Caldera and Rebirth Island, so you should pair it with a gun that can be used in close-quarter combat. A submachine gun, shotgun, or a pistol are all viable options. Currently, the MP40 is proving to be the best submachine gun. However, the dominance of shotguns such as the Double Barrel can not be overlooked as they are able to eliminate enemies in just a few shots.
