If you are a big fan of first-person shooters, you have definitely been spoiled these recent months. With the emergence of Riot Games’ Valorant, the likes of Call of Duty and battle royale games have to watch their back. Infinity Ward is doing just that by listening to the community and making some necessary additions to Call of Duty: Warzone. The popular Trios mode is now back in the battle royale.
A popular return
Just days after it was swapped out for the new Quads mode, Call of Duty: Warzone is looking familiar once more. According to developer Infinity Ward, a new playlist for Call of Duty: Warzone sees the return of three-player squads. What makes it even better is that it is not taking the place of any other mode. That means you can jump into Solos, Trios, or Quads and get your fix. However, do note that Trios is not available for Plunder, just battle royale.
The sudden turnaround will come as a surprise to many. After all, Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare signaled a big change with its removal. The change of heart is likely due to community feedback about Trios being removed. A quick check on the game’s subreddit revealed plenty of excitement with its return to Call of Duty: Warzone.
The same could be said about pairing with another buddy to take on the world. A Duos mode might just be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone as well. A leak that showed the official site displaying said mode seems to suggest that something is brewing behind the scenes. However, no confirmation has been made about the existence of a Duos mode.
