Cargo! Details And Screenshots

It’s been a little while since we heard anything about Ice-Pick Lodge’s latest oddity, Cargo!
Today, however, the developer has released a set of new images and expanded on a few gameplay details. In the world of Cargo! the gods have gone a bit power-mad and abolished gravity. Not content with just doing that, they’ve replaced humanity with “gnome-like Brats.” Players will assume the third-person role of Phlox, one of the last human beings.
Strangely, the antidote to a lack of gravity is an element called FUN. Phlox must provide the brats with FUN across multiple islands via “a hefty kick in the rear end, any kind of danger, music, car racing and breakneck rides on all sorts of vehicles.” Those vehicles can be constructed from unique, individual pieces found around the game world. There are “hundreds” of ways to combine these pieces, to create vehicles suitable for air, land or underwater.
All of which sounds delightfully unusual. The game is now due for release in the first quarter of 2011. Look below for some colourful screenshots.
