As we march towards the December 10 release of Cyberpunk 2077, fans are expectedly brimming with excitement. Mixed it with that is a sense of apprehension as well, as the game has famously experienced several delays up to this point. However, it would seem that those fears are unfounded. CD Projekt Red has just released its third-quarter financial reports, and within the reports is an important piece of information. The Cyberpunk 2077 release date is still December 10.
After seeing the game pushed from April 2020 to September, November, and finally December, we are just about two weeks away from entering Night City. The studio has been adamant about hitting the latest Cyberpunk 2077 release date, but the doubts remain. You cannot really blame fans when they have been through the wringer on this one repeatedly. Who can forget the latest delay happening just one day after CD Projekt Red enthusiastically told a fan that the November date was set in stone? The fan sure did not.
However, the financial reports have confirmed the fact. Most marketing materials carrying the December 10 Cyberpunk 2077 release date is also out there. It seems the dust has finally settled.
Well fu** 🙁

There has also been a case of a copy of the game making its way to someone’s hands. It also points to the fact that a delay is not happening again, since physical copies are apparently out there in the wild.
Then again, stranger things have happened. Even if CD Projekt Red is so committed to the latest date, until the consumers get the game in their hands, the situation can still change. Playing the devil’s advocate is never fun, but neither is getting your hopes dashed over and over again.
In other news, the financial results also showed off the great success of The Witcher. The company’s $28 million revenue for the quarter was mostly due to sales of Witcher games. Geralt still got it.
