Following in the footsteps of other MMO developers, Cryptic Studios has opened up the first area of Champions Online, allowing new players to try out the game for an unlimited time, free of charge.

The free unlimited trial, or ‘demo’ as it’s being called, lets players explore the beginner zone, Millennium City under attack by the Qularr, for as long as they wish. Characters made in the demo will be capped at level 15, at which point players may choose to purchase the game, lifting the restrictions.

Other MMOs to grant a free unlimited trial recently include Warhammer Online and Age of Conan.
