Cryptic has announced a free weekend of Champions Online to entice new players to the superhero MMORPG.Going by the name of the Bloodmoon Weekend, the free period will kick off for non-subscribers from 10:00 am on 30 October until 10:00 AM on 2 November (PST). Subscribers can take part in the Bloodmoon content slightly earlier on 27 October. The story for the event is as follows: The Undying Lord, Takofanes, a necromantic ruler who dominated the earth thousands of years ago is back.Takofanes’ last encounter with the Champions of Millennium City ended with half our world’s beloved heroes slain. Who now can stand against him?
