Cryptic Studios’ Champions Online MMO has gone free to play, as of today.
For the lowdown on what this means, have a read of the initial free-to-play announcement here at IncGamers and the Champions Online FAQ – which in combination should answer any lingering queries.
As usual there are multiple memberships offered, with regular members getting all of the free content plus access to “a la carte” premium items available for sale in the in-game store. Players can also opt for a ‘Gold’ membership (costing £10.34 GBP per month) which “unlocks most of the game’s content and includes extra features.”
Here’s a new trailer illustrating the freeness.
