Following the outcry from fans this week, Cryptic Studios has re-introduced the discounted subscription deals for its upcoming MMO, Champions Online. The limited offer for cut-price six month and lifetime subscriptions was cut short earlier this week when an unexpectedly high number of players took advantage of the deals, which also granted players exclusive in-game items such as costumes for Champions and Cryptic’s other upcoming MMO, Star Trek Online.Fans reacted badly when news that the special deal, which was due to last until 1 September, was closed when a certain number of discounted subscriptions sold. However, in reaction to the backlash, Cryptic has re-opened the deal. The renewed offer, which has no limited supply, ends at 11:59 pm pacific time on 31 August.See our hands-on preview for an overview of this highly anticiapted MMO.
