Cities: Skylines gets a release date and new trailer

Paradox and Colossal Order invite you to get city building next month.

Following the recent disappointments in the city building genre we’re hoping that Cities: Skylines can deliver a solid building and city management experience. Today Paradox has revealed that the game will be released on 10 March.

Pre-purchases are also available starting today and the more expensive version comes with a Basketball Court, Botanical Gardens, Merry-go-round, Bouncy Castle, and a Dog Park. Also included is a digital art book and four digital postcards. The Deluxe edition costs £29.99 and the Standard Edition comes in at £22.99, both of which seem like reasonable prices.

We have high hopes for Cities: Skylines. It looks like Colossal Order understand the genre rather well and have realised exactly what players of city builders are looking for, so fingers crossed it meets our expectations. Here’s your trailer:
