Get ready to pull on your woollen undergarment because 18 February is when the weather gets a little worse in the city builder. It will cost $12.99 to send your cities into freeze mode.

Announced a couple of weeks ago, this update brings new weather systems and new game mechanics to tackle the chilly out doors. A new temperature meter, new winter parks, improved winter transport and more are all planned.

For those without the expansion some weather effects such as rain and fog will be made available for free.

A new development diary has just been posted which specifically addresses how the heating system will work. Thankfully heating pipes are shared with water pipes which will save a load of dragging extra pipes around.
