Civilization VI Digital Deluxe is 80% off in the store – Updated

This is a heads-up that there is a super discounted deal on Civilization VI in the PC Invasion store and you may want to take advantage of this now.

The price of the Civilization VI Digital Deluxe edition is now listed as 80% off and is down as low as £13.99 ($15.99). This is a huge saving. Steam has it listed as £59.49.

We’re not sure why this has appeared and the store has been swamped so if you can grab it we suggest you try. Head to the PC Invasion store and you will see it listed under the latest offers.

Be warned, the site is being whacked so you might have to keep trying.

Update: The Civ deal is over but I suggest you keep an eye on the store because games are changing out often and there are new deals today.

Update 25 November: GamesRepublic have released a statement today confirming the Civ VI deal as a pricing error. All keys are being revoked, unfortunately. We have no personal control over this, GamesRepublic are our store affiliate but they independently control all their pricing and business decisions.

As you noticed the price for recently released Civilization VI Deluxe Edition was really low. Unfortunately, it was too good to be true. The discount for Civilization VI Deluxe Edition was a price bug on our side. We’re really sorry, but we need to cancel orders for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – Deluxe Edition. If you bought the game, your money for the order will be transferred back to your bank account within the next few days.

If you already activated the game on your Steam account, the game will be deactivated and removed from your account soon.

We’re really sorry about the whole situation. During such huge sales like Black Friday, where we have so many discounted games, such mistakes sometimes just take place. As a small form of compensation for the situation, any person who bought the game will receive from us a 20% discount code for the next purchase on Games Republic and they will be able to keep bonus Anomaly 2 game on their accounts.

This “Mistake” was up for over 12 hours and it is hard to understand that it took over 12 hours for it to be noticed by Gamesrepublic. I can only imagine how many people in this 12 hours purchased this game, I know I read many people took four hours to struggle with the sites lag. At what point does it become less a “Mistake” and more “Gross irresponsibility”? According to EU law, this potentially is breaking it.

I think this happened after normal working hours which is why it wasn’t dealt with until the morning of the next working day.
