Codemasters always had ‘good feeling’ about F1 2010

In a statement released to IncGamers today, Jeremy Wigmore, Codemasters’ Vice-President of Publishing for the EMEA region, said that:
“We had a good feeling about F1 2010, seeing the anticipation and excitement building for the title has been great but to have it realised with such immense success at launch weekend is simply incredible.”

That success has come in form of topping the UK charts in the game’s first week on release – no mean feat considering the position was previously occupied by Bungie’s Halo: Reach.
“All credit to the team at Codemasters Birmingham,” Wigmore continued, “they recognised the importance of F1 and the how important it was to create and deliver a game that resets the bar for F1 gaming experiences..”
With F1 2011 confirmed as currently in development, the future is looking brighter for Formula 1 based games than it has for… ever.  Our review of F1 2010 can be found here.
