Warner Brothers’ proposed buyout of Midway has been approved by the courts.According to the Chicago Tribune, the $33 million USD offer to buyout the company has been accepted by a bankruptcy judge today.Midway were subject to the bid back in May which includes the majority of the company’s assets.The Newcastle studio who are currently developing Necessary Force and Midway San Diego, rumoured to be making a TNA Impact sequel, are not apart of the deal and have yet to find buyers.Warner Brothers will purchase Midway’s main office in Chicago and a smaller office in Seattle, as well as acquiring the rights to the Mortal Kombat series.
