Tears of the Kingdom – Crenel Hills Cave frog location

Before you can look for the frog in the cave, there is the matter of finding Crenel Hills Cave itself. It is located to the northeast of Lookout Landing and across Hylia River. If you see the giant stone skull with dangerous enemies lurking nearby, you’re near your destination. Follow the trail uphill from the skull to reach the cave entrance.

The Crenel Hills Cave frog location is not far from the cave’s entrance. You need to move in a hurry, however. Although the cave may seem empty at first, your arrival is likely to disturb its hidden guardian.

To locate the frog from the cave’s entrance, just head down the slope and look to the ceiling to the left of the slope’s base. Once you descend the slope, the clock is ticking. You need to run quickly left and stay not far from the wall. Watch the ceiling as you progress in that direction. You should soon see the frog in plain sight among the thick stalactites. There’s no need to break through a weak rock wall or find a hidden chamber, the way you might in so many other caves.

Shoot the frog with an arrow and then finish it off with melee attacks as usual to secure your Bubbul Gem. Then leave promptly by the path you followed to enter. In the main chamber, the aforementioned guardian has very possibly awakened and started your way. It moves slowly, but if you let it get near enough to hit you, a single blow could be the end of you. During my own successful first visit, I was more than happy to defeat the frog and grab my gem before leaving.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
