Criterion working on new open-world racer?

Job listing hints at direction for future project.
Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit developers are looking for an A.I. programmer to work on “open world AI racing drivers” for an upcoming project.
Given the timing of the job posting, it seems reasonable to presume that the next Need for Speed title from Criterion will be of the open-world variety. EA have previously announced that Criterion and Black Box will take charge of the Need for Speed on alternate years.
The next edition of the series is Black Box’s Need for Speed: The Run, due out later this year – the title caused quite a stir when it was first revealed due to its inclusion of on-foot sections. Read our E3 2011 preview of the game here.
