Crytek preparing Warface for 2012

After previously being announced for China, Crytek’s Warface will now be coming west in 2012.
The free-to-play FPS title will use the developers CryEngine3 and promises to offer players “a constantly updated extensive PVE universe full of dramatic multiplayer co-op missions” as well as “a full set of class based PVP”.
A trailer for the game (released a few days ago but re-shown at Gamescom) teases the main antagonists, who are apparently called Blackwood.
Warface will be released on the PC next year.
