Crytek to Leave Germany If Country Bans Action Games

Cevat Yerli, Crytek president and co-founder has announced plans to move Crytek if Germany bans action games. This comes after news of Germany debating whether to ban violent action games including games which involve violence involving humans.”A ban on action games in Germany is concerning us because it is essentially like banning the German artists that create them,” he told PC Games Germany. He added, “If the German creative community can’t effectively participate in one of the most important cultural mediums of our future, we will be forced to relocate to other countries.”The ban would not only mean retailers being banned to sell titles in the category but also stops companies such as Crytek from developing them.
