Dark Souls 2’s Crown of the Old Iron King DLC out now

Dark Souls 2 Crown of the Old Iron King - 04

The second piece of DLC for Dark Souls 2, Crown of the Old Iron King, is ready for exploration and YOU DIED.

Crown of the Old Iron King has players venturing into a tower of flames, smoke, and sorcery, in an attempt to locate the second of King Vendrick’s crowns. Without being YOU DIED too much, hopefully.

A bunch of screenshots have also been released, which… okay, I’m not sure if they’re new or not. Most of them I’m pretty sure I’ve seen before, but a few – like the one with the Catarina/Onion Knight armour, and King Vendrick himself – are entirely new to me. I’ve put all of them below, anyway, although I’m pretty sure four-fifths of them have been previously released.

Crown of the Old Iron King is out now, and you can grab it for £7.99. Alternatively, it’s available as part of the Dark Souls 2 season pass for £19.99. We’ll doubtless have a review up soon, so if you’d rather see if it’s as good as the first, you shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.
