Dark Souls 2’s Crown of the Sunken King DLC gets more screenshots

More screenshots from the first in Dark Souls 2’s Lost Crowns DLC trilogy have been released today, showing more locations from the Crown of the Sunken King. That’s coming out on 22 July for the PC.

The images don’t exactly reveal a whole lot of new stuff, but rather reinforce what was already known about this first add-on. There are plenty of shots depicting the underground ziggurat-like structures, as well as some interior crypts that are most likely inside said stepped pyramids. One image has a rather interesting (and massive) dragon mural, while others show some Beksinski-ish corridors.

It’s already been implied that the upcoming Dark Souls 2 DLC will have two paths for players to take. One is said to only really be doable with online summons, so that’s probably what’s being shown in the images featuring white phantoms. Lots of lovely poison-spitting statues in those shots, I notice. Great.

I’ll be taking a look at the DLC when it’s released, but for now drink deep of the images in the gallery below.
