Dark Souls PC petition makes Namco Bandai take note

I think I just saw a pig fly through the sky, it came just before I found out that some people do actually take internet petitions into account.
Namco Bandai, it seems, are well aware of the online petition to Dark Souls released on the PC (original story here). The publisher’s community manager Tony Shoupinou has posted in the official Namco Bandai forums that his bosses let him know that the petition has caught their attention:
“If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it,” Shoupinou wrote. “The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this. I make a personal objective to make sure every relevant people in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort.”
Sounds to me that more signatures are needed (currently over 64,000 have signed the petition) but the suits are at least taking it semi-seriously at this point.
