The Dead Space remake has finally been released on PC. Now, survival horror games tend to offer a lot of replayability. And Motive’s remake is no exception to this. The game has plenty of unlockable goodies, but a lot of them don’t come easily. One of these is the Burnished Suit, which is a particularly tough to unlock in the Dead Space remake.
The Burnished Suit is one of the coolest unlockables in the game. But you’re going to have to work pretty hard to get your hands on this. In order to get the Burnished Suit, you’re going to have to beat the Dead Space remake on the Impossible difficulty. And that’s as tough as it probably sounds.
How to get the Burnished Suit in Dead Space
If you’ve decided to unlock the Burnished Suit in the Dead Space remake, there are a few things to do first. You’ll need to first beat the Dead Space remake on Hard mode. This in itself is a pretty tough challenge, but not as hard as what’s to come. But it makes for good practice for the game’s real challenge: the Impossible difficulty.
Now, let’s go over what you can expect in the Impossible difficulty. For starters, this mode has you fighting some extremely tough enemies. Combine this with Isaac’s frail health bar, and you won’t last long if you’re swarmed. There’s also the fact that this mode has permadeath — you have one life to take you through the game. You can’t reload from the last save or continue from where you left off. If Isaac dies, then you’re starting the game from the beginning. It’s the hardest challenge in the Dead Space remake, and the only way to unlock the Burnished Suit.

Obviously, this difficulty requires good knowledge of the game. But by persevering and getting to the end you’ll be rewarded with the Burnished Suit. It features a black and gray color scheme and the lights on the helmet glow red. So it’s pretty different from how every other suit looks. And considering how hard it is to unlock, that should be expected.
The Burnished Suit is a sign that you’ve truly beaten the Dead Space remake. But make no mistake, this is hard. So, if you’re willing to dive into this difficulty, you should prepare for a bumpy ride.
