Destiny 2 Lightfall Iron Banner Delayed

Destiny 2 players have dealt with a nasty bug since the release of Lightfall. In certain situations, the player and other people around them can turn invisible. This makes it much harder to aim with any of your weapons since you can’t see the weapon’s ADS (aim down sights) view. And there’s also the other tiny issue where you can’t really see anyone else. Unsurprisingly, this makes some game modes much harder. And because of this, the Destiny 2: Lightfall Iron Banner PvP mode has been delayed for a short while.

A fix for this bug is incoming, so the problem should be gone soon. But the waiting period means that some modes will be thrown off course for a short while. Specifically, start dates for Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris have been shifted around a bit. The good news is that these are the only modes that are getting this treatment due to the glitch.

Destiny 2: Lightfall – Iron Banner delayed by a week

The latest TWAB for Destiny 2 lists a bunch of upcoming information about Destiny 2. This information includes the new dates for the delayed Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris. Iron Banner will now start on March 21, as opposed to March 14. But Trials of Osiris is actually getting pushed up a week to March 17 instead of March 24.

The reason for these dates moving around is due to the release of the invisibility glitch fix. It comes out on March 16, but that would have been two days into the Iron Banner event. And Bungie doesn’t want to have the PvP mode plagued with such an annoying glitch for the start of Iron Banner. Hence the delay, which is sure to throw off some Destiny 2 players. But players will be able to hop onto Trails of Osiris earlier than expected to make up for it. More information about Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris should come with the next TWAB.

Iron Banner is always a fun time, so to see it delayed is sad news for Destiny 2: Lightfall. But it’s not a long wait, so it shouldn’t be too bad. Overall, Destiny 2: Lightfall has brought plenty of new content to the game. Thankfully it’s not all as broken as the invisibility glitch makes it out to be.
