Splicer Gauntlet perks and upgrades
The Decrypted Data you’ve acquired can be used to unlock Splicer Gauntlet perks/upgrades. I would suggest using the resource to obtain these first prior to spending it on Umbral Engram focusing.
The Splicer Gauntlet has three rows and multiple columns. Each row represents a tier with increasing benefits. However, some upgrades are still unavailable. We might need to progress Mithrax’s story further to see what they are.
Here are the ones that we can see at the moment:
|Splicer Gauntlet Upgrade||Tier I||Tier II||Tier III|
|Codestrider||Additional platforms can be utilized in the Vex network. |
Note: This lets you activate the green panels to spawn platforms once you enter the Override’s wormhole.
|Override Efficiency||Override chests have increased rewards. |
Standard Vex chests have a chance to drop additional seasonal gear.
Conflux chests have a chance to drop Umbral Engrams; can drop up to 1x Focused Umbral Engram per week.
|Increased rewards; Conflux chests can drop up to 2x Focused Umbral Engrams per week.||Increased rewards; Conflux chests can drop up to 3x Focused Umbral Engrams per week.|
|Deletion Exclusion||Laser and wall defenses deal less damage.||Lower damage from Vex defenses.||Lower damage from Vex defenses.|
|Ether Filter||Defeated enemies have a higher chance to drop Ether.||Higher chance to gain Ether.||Higher chance to gain Ether; increased Ether from completing activities.|
|Halt And Open Fire||Increased ammo replenishment from crates in Override.||More ammo replenished.||More ammo replenished.|
|Memory Expansion||Splicer Gauntlet Ether capacity = +50 |
Key Code capacity = 4
|Splicer Gauntlet Ether capacity = +50 |
Key Code capacity = 5
|Splicer Gauntlet Ether capacity = +100 |
Key Code capacity = 4
Note 1: I’ve decided to focus on Ether Filter and Memory Expansion for now. These are to help me amass and store more Ether for the Splicer Gauntlet. After getting these two, I think that Override Efficiency would be another decent choice since you’ll get extra rewards.
Note 2: Don’t forget, you need Ether from enemy kills anywhere in the system. If you open the quest menu, right-clicking on the Splicer Gauntlet lets you craft an Ether Key. In turn, you can use this to open chests at the end of Override runs.
