Destiny 2 Season Of The Lost Shattered Realm Trivial Mysteries Ley Line Rumors Entombed Taken Root Left Behind

Destiny 2: All Trivial Mysteries in the Shattered Realm (Week 1)

Mysterious chests.

When you check the challenges tab in Destiny 2: Season of the Lost, you’ll see three that can help you upgrade your Wayfinder’s Compass. “Wayfinder’s Voyage I” can be done when you complete your initial Shattered Realm run. Meanwhile, “Ascendant Ballast I” entails finding Ascendant Anchors while patrolling and while you’re in the Shattered Realm. The third and final important challenge, “Ley Line Rumors,” has you aligning six Awoken Beacons and finding Trivial Mysteries. There are seven Trivial Mysteries in the Shattered Realm that we can obtain now during the first week of Destiny 2: Season of the Lost, and these are what we’ll discuss in this guide.

Destiny 2: Season of the Lost – Shattered Realm Trivial Mysteries (Ley Line Rumors weekly challenge)

I suggest taking a look at our guides regarding your initial run in the Shattered Realm, as well as the Ascendant Anchors that you can find there. Some of them are fairly close to the Trivial Mysteries treasure chests, too. Also, you should obtain the “Barrier Breach” upgrade from the Wayfinder’s Compass as this is the only way you’ll reach these items. Likewise, make sure you activate the beacons in the region so you can interact with the lanterns.

Note: You’ll receive triumphs whenever you open any of the Trivial Mysteries chests. Lastly, “Ley Line Rumors” only requires you to find three Trivial Mysteries. However, it’s possible to collect seven this week.

Trivial Mysteries #1: The Outskirts – Left Behind

After picking up the Ascendant Anchor in the Outskirts (off to the side of the church), hop on top of the rocks to find a ruined building. You can use the ledges to reach the second floor (which has a Barrier Breach lantern), or just hold “E” to interact with the lantern from the outer wall.

Trivial Mysteries #2: The Outer Ruins – Twofold Ward

From the building in the Outskirts, head outside and look to your left. You’ll see a path to the Outer Ruins.

Even if you’re slowed down, you can find some ledges that will let you reach the second floor.

There’s a lantern here, as well as a nearby barrier that you can go through. Past that is a floating island with a chest.

Trivial Mysteries #3: The Crypt – Entombed

The Crypt is right in front of the church. Go ahead and interact with the lantern, then make your way below to find the chest. This area also has an Ascendant Anchor.

Trivial Mysteries #4: Dark Forest – Taken Root

Head back to the Crypt’s entrance and go straight ahead. There’s another barrier here that you can pass through. You’ll find a chest in the chamber.

Trivial Mysteries #5: The Ruins/Sunken Caves – Deep Defenses

Past the initial area, you’ll see some floating rocks that will help you reach the Ruins (not the Outer Ruins, mind you). Hop off the cliffside to see a ledge.

Cross the barrier to enter the Sunken Caves. There’s another lantern here and a barrier with a chest.

Trivial Mysteries #6 and 7: Harrowed Cliffs/The Mill – In Shadow and Abandoned

Make your way to the location of the beacon in the Harrowed Cliffs. Activate the beacon and climb the hill to the side. Remember that lone island with several lanterns and an Ascendant Anchor? Well, one of the lanterns allows you to use your Barrier Breach ability. Inside the small cavern, you’ll find Trivial Mystery #6.

Before you go outside, activate the other lantern that’s nearby. You have 15 seconds to make your way from this spot all the way to the sloping path that led you to the beacon. You should have enough time to go through the barrier. Alternatively, you can go to the side of the mill. You’ll see a ledge with a lantern as well.

That does it for the seven Trivial Mysteries that you can find in the Shattered Realm. There might be more in the coming weeks, so we’ll keep you posted.
