Devil May Cry HD Collection announced for PC

A new Devil May Cry HD Collection (different from the 2012 one) has been announced by Capcom today. It’ll bundle all of the first three games, and give them PC versions in “silky smooth 60fps”.

They’ve all been on PC one way of the other before now, but hopefully this HD Collection will give them a Dragon’s Dogma style porting makeover. There isn’t much detail about port specifics in the announcement blurb (besides that 60fps thing, which may primarily be intended for the PS4/Xbox One audience). The old Devil May Cry HD Collection from 2012 (on 360/PS3) still had remnants like menus in 4:3 aspect ratio, so there’s plenty to still be improved.

The Collection will be released on 13 March 2018 and includes Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. It will cost $30 USD.

This announcement will be further fuel on the rumour-fire surrounding an imminent reveal of Devil May Cry 5; possibly at tonight’s Game Awards, or perhaps at the weekend PSX event.
