The Sim City development team are back with another update today and this time they are specifically looking at starting a new city.

In the previous games you could get a city up and running fairly quickly and preventing anything disasterous from happening while it was nice and small was quite simple. There is  one change to the new Sim City though, there is now no cost to zoning or unzoning your city but in general the same principles that applied in the previous games are still important.

Planning before building is the key once again, but as any Sim City player knows, that’s easier said than done when you’re keen to get a city thriving. Watching where basic services are placed, keeping an eye on which way the wind blows so nasty fumes from industrial buildings don’t affect residential areas, and the types of road you place down are all going to play a part.
