Diablo 3 Patch 2.4.0 is now live on the PTR

Diablo 3 players may have been disappointed that there was no expansion announcement at BlizzCon last week but there was plenty of news regarding the 2.4.0 update.

This evening Blizzard finally kicked 2.4.0 live on the PTR servers for testing. The patch notes are huge but notable additions include the new zones with the Royal Quarters and the  Eternal Woods. There’s also the new Greyhollow Island to explore.

Other features to watch out for are the additional stash tabs, Empowered Rifts, the new Set Dungeons for each class, a new Kanai;s Cube recipe, the PC version of the console’s Action Combat where bonuses are granted in quick combat, and the revised buff bar to name a few. The usual round of class tweaks are also listed as well as crafting, monsters, adventure mode updates and more. It’s a biggie and should keep Diablo 3 players happy for a while at least.

There’s no release date for the final version of the patch but we’ll keep you posted and you can also keep a close eye on Diabloii.Net. Blizzard have also not given a timeframe for the new Season testing to start on the PTR but we should hear more on that in the days ahead.
