With the Diablo 3 beta test still on-going, and many of the game systems still not made public in the beta test, it comes as no massive surprise that Blizzard will miss their previously announced first quarter release window for the action RPG.
Speaking during the Activision Blizzard conference call, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime added:
We have implemented changes which will greatly improve the game experience and final release will live up to highest expectations. We expect launch to be a big opportunityfor Blizard. More details will be announced in the coming weeks
The Diablo 3 community will no doubt be upset at the news this evening but we can only hoipe that the extra time will make the game highly polished and give the development team the time they need to really fine-tune the game.
