Dishonored 2 Announced, Has Playable Female Protagonist

Today at Bethesda’s E3 press conference, Arkane Studios announced their upcoming action game Dishonored 2. The game will continue the story from the previous game, with Corvo continuing to be a playable character in journeys far away from the settings of the first game.

In a welcome addition, players will also be able to play as Emily, a female protagonist who will differ from Corvo in abilities. Emily appeared in the first game a young princess. In Dishonored 2, she has clearly grown up. The developers stressed that Dishonored 2 will, like the previous game, allow for multiple play styles including both stealth focused gameplay and combat focused gameplay. They also noted that the player can complete the game without killing anyone.

Dishonored 2 will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in spring of 2016.
