Sacred 3 has been a massive disappointment for fans of the series so let’s look at Unbended as a true Sacred alternative.
As the rage continues over how the Sacred franchise has been completely murdered and how gamers who pre-ordered are aghast at how poor it actually is, there could be some hope for Sacred fans.
Unbended has more than likely slipped under most ARPG gamers’ radar but it’s a game that’s currently being crowd funded by members of the original Sacred team. Since Sacred 3 launched, Unbended has attracted an influx of funding breaking the 11K mark with the sudden interest in the game being partially down to how badly Sacred 3 has been received. An update over the weekend from the Unbended team in response to the funding boost cheekily states:

“
So what is Unbended?
Unbended is going to be a classic Action RPG, that drops the character of your choice into a world of constant changes. Each character experiences the story from his/her very individual point of view. And as the world is changing, so are the skills and possibilities of the characters.
You will play a classic Action RPG just as it should be: challenging, full of action, perfectly controllable and subject to constant advancements. And before you pick up the gauntlet and become the – possibly deciding – factor in the fate of the entire world, you should take care of your own fate first and prove yourself in your personal campaign.
Was this the kind if thing you were hoping for with Sacred 3? Probably. Anyway, forget about Sacred 3 and take a look at Unbended because the Sacred franchise is dead.
