Bethesda has announced that the DOOM open beta will now conclude 18 April at 11:59 ET giving shooter fans an extra day to keep playing and testing the game.

Reviews are still flowing on Steam and they are not exactly positive. The general consensus from PC gamers is it’s simply a generic shooter and comments are overwhelmingly negative.

Old-school fans appear to be disappointed with id trying to take the classic gameplay but give it a modern shooter twist. It’s just not gelling with a lot of people.

Perhaps the single player is where the game will excel. Still, there’s now another day to find out if you like the multiplayer or not.
