A new week means a new set of Fortnite challenges are ready and waiting for you to complete. One of the legendary challenges tasks you with collecting the Doomsday Preppers Guide in Fortnite. Once you know where to look, you will have the challenge marked as complete in no time at all.
There are two Doomsday Preppers Guides on the Fortnite map. However, the challenge only asks you to find one of them. To complete this challenge, you can either pay a visit to the Steamy Stacks point of interest or Hydro 16.
Tracking down the Doomsday Preppers Guide in Fortnite
If you choose to visit Steamy Stacks, you need to visit the southern building near the eastern stack. The building you need to enter is marked with the numbers “03.” As you make your way inside, navigate to the staircase on the bottom floor. The Doomsday Preppers Guide is tucked away just underneath the staircase.
In addition, there is a Doomsday Preppers Guide hidden at Hydro 16. This is an unmarked location to the east of Slurpy Swamp, situated by the dam. Enter the building from the ground floor. If you head to the northeast corner of the building, you will see a door which leads to an office. Go into the office, and you’ll find the Doomsday Preppers Guide on the floor in between the computer and cabinet.
Interacting with the Doomsday Preppers Guide and completing the Fortnite challenge will earn you 30,000 XP towards your battle pass. It will be interesting to see how the story continues to develop surrounding the missing characters. Perhaps the Doomsday Preppers Guide suggests that the characters in Fortnite have been preparing for the alien invasion for a while.
