Version 7.00 of Dota 2 has just hit the main client, bringing you all the backpacks and Monkey Kings you could want.

For full details on what’s actually included in the patch, have a look at the story I wrote yesterday when it popped up on the test server. The short version is: map redesign, backpacks, talent trees, new hero, multiple hero reworks, lots of balance changes, several new models, a new pre-game section, a new HUD, some new– actually, now that I think about it, the short version isn’t really very short. Sorry.

I’m not taking the blame for my descriptions being lengthy, though: the patch itself clocks in at a rather sizeable 6.5GB. If you have Dota 2 installed, then this update should be available to download right now.

For what it’s worth, I’m currently working on a full patch analysis for Dota 2 7.00. This may never, ever be completed, but if it is then you should look out for it over the next few days.
