DOTA 2‘s annual The International event kicks off today promising action from the best teams in the world.

The International runs from today right through to the 12 August and to get things started the first match is between Team Liquid and Invictus Gaming who were the 2012 champions. All the fun begins at 10AM PST and there’s a record prize pool of over $23 million so someone is going to walk away a lot richer on the 12 August. Who will raise the Aegis aloft this year and take the $10 million first place prize?

As always, the whole event is being live streamed and you can catch up with all the matches and results via the DOTA 2 website. Even if you are not a huge DOTA 2 fan, watching the latter matches as the tournament progresses is usually quite exciting even if you have no idea wtf is going on.
