Double your danger with the Tribes Ascend ‘Twinfuser’ update

Recommended Videos

The latest update to Hi-Rez’s free-to-play revival of the Tribes series adds a brand new ‘Twinfuser’ weapon. As the name suggests, this is like a regular Spinfuser, but has the ability to fire two discs before a reload is required. Each disc is weaker than the Spinfuser counterpart and does less splash-damage too. It’ll come in light, medium and heavy varieties, just like the original.

Hi-Rez has also added the icy ‘Permafrost’ map and brought back a Tribes classic in the form of ‘Dangerous Crossing’. Both are for Capture the Flag mode.

A handful of new skins are available too, and it’s now possible to change the voice of your character to something a little more feminine (or a little more awkwardly British).
