Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Patch 6 adds more mouse support

It’s taken four months, but Dragon Age: Inquisition players who use a mouse with more than two buttons on it will finally be able to remap commands to those other buttons. At least, that’s according to the notes on the game’s sixth patch.

I’m not sure whether Patch 6 is actually released yet, as I don’t own the game. Normally I rely on somebody over at the BioWare Dragon Age: Inquisition PC thread mentioning that it’s available, but nobody has yet. Reddit suggests that the patch is out on PS4, so I’d imagine the PC one won’t be far behind.

There’s still no sign of the Black Emporium in this release. I’m not sure what’s going on with that.

As mentioned though, there are at least some tweaks to mouse functionality. As well as the additional button support, mouse look toggle should cause fewer problems now: “Fixed issue that caused abilities to not be usable in tactical mode when using mouse look toggle. / Fixed issue that caused mouse look toggle to turn off during looting.”

Apparently the issue with the in-game journal behaving in “unexpected ways when expanding categories with the mouse” has been addressed too. As has, um, the inability to resurrect people who’d died in deep water.

For the full list of changes to Dragon Age: Inquisition in Patch 6, here’s the BioWare blog post again.

Update: Apparently some DLC called “Jaws of Hakkon” is also being released tomorrow. I’d normally do a separate post for this, but it seems to just have a name and not much else at present.

Just hilarious. Thank god a proper RPG is being released in a few days.

So not gonna buy Mass Effect 4 day one. This is such a travesty.
And you know what BW? Finish patching the damn game before you go around announcing SP DLCs!

They also still don’t provide any support for modders so they work got trashed at almost every patch by making them incomptable. Personally, I’m done with Bioware games, I won’t buy them again.

Wrong title. “PC version finally completed 4 months after console release” it should have been…

Except not really because we are still missing decent tactics for companions, a camera that doesn’t get stuck on trees and a fix for the banter bug that they said they fixed but LOL. Bioware is just a sad company these days. On the bright side, we still have Obsidian, InXile and Harebrained Schemes creating really good RPGs. Go Pillars of Eternity! Sell a gazillion copies!!

      This is beyond pathetic.

Agreed, except the forums all over the place saved me investing $AU100 for this mess which I now have sitting ready for The Witcher 3… which I will get after watching the forum comments, not the usual review suspects (aka not incgamers and a few select others!)
