Dragon Ball Fighterz new patch

Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultra Instinct Goku trailer shows off his godly power

Act before you think.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 has already seen the female Saiyan fusion, Kefla, join the roster of fighters. She’s a force to be reckoned with. But, as you’ll see in the newest trailer, the next character joining the ranks of fighters is on another level. Bandai Namco Entertainment has just released the gameplay launch trailer for Ultra Instinct Goku. He will become available in-game for everyone from May 22.

Holders of the FighterZ Pass 3 will gain access to the new character two days before everyone else. So, May 20 is the day to mark in your calendars. However, you still have a few days to wait before you can get your hands on the sixth version of Goku to come to Dragon Ball FighterZ. So, for now, you can enjoy his godlike power in the trailer as he faces off against Kefla and Jiren.

The power of a god

People who have watched Dragon Ball Super will be familiar with the Ultra Instinct transformation. This one isn’t unique to Saiyans, as angels like Whis have allegedly already mastered the technique. It’s called Ultra Instinct because, according to Whis, “the technique severs the consciousness from the body in order to allow the body to subconsciously move”. So, you don’t think. Your body just fights on instinct.

The other name for the transformation, which clearly indicates its power, is “the state of the gods”. While Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue allow Goku and Vegeta to tap into godlike power, Ultra Instinct puts Goku on the same level as the gods.

There’s three more where that came from

Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku are just the first two characters coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ in Season 3. There are still three more unannounced fighters on the way. If you’d like to get your hands on them first, and for the best rate, you can pick up the FighterZ Pass 3 through Steam. If you haven’t yet purchased Dragon Ball FighterZ for PC, you can also grab that on Steam.
