Activision and Infinity Ward are keeping the updates coming with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. Patches and fixes have been in constant supply, and the latest patches have now dropped. Whereas the latest Modern Warfare patch brings new guns to the mix, the Warzone update includes the ability to drop your weapons for the first time ever.
Drop it like it’s hot
As spotted by Charlie Intel, Call of Duty: Warzone will now grant players the option of discarding their weapons. Rather than needing a weapon to replace the one you currently have, players can now discard their arms so that teammates can pick up the leftovers in times of need. In a clip by YouTube creator JustLawlyTTV, the new feature is demonstrated with the dropping of the M4A1 assault rifle without a replacement. Even if you do it accidentally, you can still pick up dropped weapons if you need to.
Even a small change for Call of Duty: Warzone will likely impact the players tremendously. With the community making their voices heard regarding this feature, it is nice to see it being implemented by the developers. The latest update also sees more changes to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Other than a playlist update for Warzone, other tweaks and bug fixes are included. The scoreboard can now be visible in the pause menu, while the cargo truck is now back in Solos. Several bugs during gameplay have also been squashed. A new item, the Armor Satchel, has been added too. It will allow players to carry up to eight armor plates instead of five. There are other changes that are not being as warmly accepted by the community though. More information about the patch, as well as the changes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, can be found in the full patch notes.
