The president of EA Games has said in an interview at E3 that the company will not be making any more Godfather games since the release of Godfather II in April.

Frank Gibeau reportedly said “We’re not going to do another one,” when asked about another Godfather game. Since then various statements have come from EA and Paramount that don’t quite match Mr Gibeau’s certainty.

“Plans for the next Godfather game have not been decided,” said a spokesperson for Paramount, and when speaking to the LA Times, an EA publicist said the following:

“We do not currently have a Godfather game in development,” she said. “Nothing has been decided as to future sequels. Paramount is a great partner.”

However, there is a distinct lack of Godfather titles on EA’s three year production schedule.
