EA misses annual Need for Speed after 13 consecutive years

EA revealed that they won’t be releasing a new Need for Speed this year. This comes after publishing a new version of the game 13 years in a row.

This, of course, also comes after former developer Criterion Games being dissolved. Some people have left EA entirely, while some have been added to the franchise’s new developer, Ghost Games.

EA has made the call to give Ghost Games more time to work on the title. Overall, it’s understandable given the transition to a new studio, and presumably, plans to adapt the game to Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
