EA promotes least enticing ‘Facebook unlock’ in history

The concept of ‘Facebook unlocks’ is already a disgusting one (encouraging customers to ask nicely before they can be advertised at), but EA is now pushing the idea to the edges of credibility by asking people to get excited for a Michael Bay-directed Need For Speed: The Run trailer.
Yes, rather than recognising something directed by Michael Bay for what it is (a blight on creativity), EA seems to believe you’ll want to actively partake in ‘unlocking’ it, by generating 250,000 Facebook ‘points’ through twitter ‘likes’ and email sharing. Apparently, said trailer will feature Mr Bay’s “vision” and “signature high-octane Hollywood style”. Mm.
Still, as someone points out on the Need For Speed Facebook wall, “I hate when folks are critiques (sic)”. So maybe I’m just bellowing into a prevailing gale of interest here.
