EA revisits Need For Speed Most Wanted

Yet another E3 2012 ‘reveal’ has escaped a little early, with news that EA will announce a new Need For Speed: Most Wanted at their press event on 4 June. Criterion Games (of Burnout and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit fame) will be handling the development side of things.

Confusingly enough, the name appears to be identical to the 2005 Need For Speed title (though minus a colon). That game had a nice line in police chases, which is a subject this new title appears to be revisiting based on the lone screenshot released to date.

As with all of these early leaks, more details will emerge from E3 itself. No platforms have been announced as yet, but will probably include Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
