EA Say They “Have No Intention of Offlining SimCity Anytime Soon”

EA recently announced on Twitter that they won’t be letting anyone play the recently released SimCity without having to attempt to connect to their servers in the near future. So far, players have had to deal with an array of issues, including being forced to play the same tutorial repeatedly and even having their saves wiped, should they be lucky enough to connect to the server in the first place.

Now it appears that gamers will have to wait a long time to see the functionality to play offline, if ever, following this statement made via Twitter.

Although the comment also clearly states they are looking to ear the trust of their fanbase back, They seem to be going all the wrong ways about it. I think it’s fair to say that most gamers would like to see them put all their efforts into making the game functional offline so that they can at least play it while the server issues are ironed out.
