Ea Finally Adds More The Sims 4 Skin Tones To Fans' Delight (2)

For a game that is predicated on making choices and living out a fantasy life, the ability to choose from a wider variety of skin tones has been a long time coming. Thankfully for fans of EA’s The Sims 4, the day is finally here. There are now even more skin tones in The Sims 4 to choose from, and there is even a slider to help you customize to your heart’s content as well.

This free update will see your virtual people become even more diverse, and allows you to spice things up visually. Fans have been asking for more choices throughout the years, and their wishes have now been granted with the arrival of these new The Sims 4 skin tones.

There are now over a hundred different skin tones for you to choose from. If you are looking to get the right balance of light and dark, there is even a new slider for that. Once you have everything set up perfectly, you can even save the custom skin tones for future use. Better yet, the update is not restricted to realistic skin tones either. Under the miscellaneous tab, The Sims 4 players will be able to find both fantasy and sci-fi related skin tones. No matter where you hail from, there is a Sim for you.

This new update has been stewing since August, as fans became more vocal about the need for more representation. Executive Producer Lindsay Pearson responded with a video, and promised that changes would come. That promise has now been fulfilled. Players have far more choices than ever before when it comes to skin tones in The Sims 4.

The update also brings about a few new hairstyles, and makeup received some tweaks too. You can now modify the hue, saturation, brightness, and opacity for the makeup on your Sims. EA is also still working on making things better, so expect more changes in the coming months.

Of course, there are also some bug fixes in tow. Nevertheless, the great news of more skin tones should go a long way in exciting The Sims 4 community once again.
