This weekend’s festivities continue as Bethesda gives us three days’ worth of content at QuakeCon at Home. Besides the likes of Quake, Doom Eternal, and Fallout 76, more will be coming to Elder Scrolls Online as well. A new trailer for the latest The Elder Scrolls Online – Stonethorn, was revealed. This DLC will continue the year of the Dark Heart of Skyrim, Bethesda’s take on a more gothic year of content.
A vampire invasion of Skyrim is imminent. Not even the rest of Tamriel is safe from these bloodsuckers. Coming with the The Elder Scrolls Online – Stonethorn expansion will be a pair of new dungeons. Be prepared to explore the Stone Garden and Castle Thorn. Of course, expect more quests and storylines, new set items, and collectibles. The DLC revolves around ” a depraved vampire conspiracy” that involves both Lady Thorn and Arkasis the mad alchemist. A bloody good time, indeed.
Stand against darkness
“A Vampire army rises from the fortified halls of Castle Thorn, led by the keep’s master, the powerful Lady Thorn,” Bethesda explains. “What terrible works has the mad Alchemist Arkasis concocted from within his secret laboratory? The dark creations of the Stone Garden, found deep within the caverns of Blackreach, are like nothing you’ve ever faced before.”
The two dungeons form part of the overarching narrative that was previously touched on by the Harrowstorm and Greymoor expansions. While they give you more of an understanding of the lore, The Elder Scrolls Online – Stonethorn can be experienced on its own as well. A free patch, update 27, will launch together with The Elder Scrolls Online – Stonethorn expansion. This will beef up the performance of the game overall, and tweak some pathing for characters as well.
The vampiric The Elder Scrolls Online – Stonethorn expansion will launch this August 24. If you are already a subscriber of ESO Plus, this will be free. For the rest of us, it is available for purchase. You can try out Elder Scrolls Online for free from now till August 19 as well on Steam.
