Are Frontier creating something new in the Elite universe? Is this the name for a future expansion? Intrepid Neogaf user ekim spotted that an EU trademark filing for Elite Deadly under videogames.
As with most trademark filings, there’s no indication of what Elite Deadly will actually be but it’s likely an expansion of some sort that may include planetside content which has been talked about by Frontier in the past. With Star Citizen being feature packed as a complete universe with planetside interaction and more, Frontier will want to enhance Elite Dangerous further to keep their audience playing long after Star Citizen is released.
The trademark was filed by Macguire Boss who are based in Cambridge so it looks legitimate enough and not one of those strange fake trademark filings we have seen in the past.
