Miriel boss fight
Let’s discuss the Miriel boss fight in Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights‘ Verboten Domain level.
In all honesty, this boss is quite a pushover. Sure, this gigantic grub hits hard, but you only have a couple of abilities to take note of:
- Rolling Bomb – It’ll toss out a bomb that rolls to the spot where Lily’s standing. It takes a couple of seconds before it explodes, so just move away from it.
- Flame Sparks – Periodically, Miriel will shoot several flaming sparks that’ll arc downward. You can try to parry/block these, or you can just dodge in between them.
Try to avoid getting too close since the boss has a knockback effect. Now, once you’ve dropped its HP below 50%, it’ll gain an ability that summons Spike Claws (these travel along the ground). This can be parried, but if you get hit once, you’ll get hit in quick succession too (likely killing Lily). In the end, it’s just a matter of dancing around these quirks.
I suggest using ranged skills and summons (i.e., Dark Witch Eleine, Hoenir, Western Merchant, or Castle Town Maiden). For your Last Rites, continue using Knight Captain Julius’ “Optic Blasts.”
You don’t actually get anything from Miriel’s corpse. Instead, go to the next room. Here, you’ll find the corpse of a scientist named Faden. You’ll receive the following:
- Faden – The spirit brings out cannon that blasts out multiple explosives.
- Unlock – You’ll now be able to open those ornate doors.
