Escape from Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov extended alpha comes with new raid and more

Battlestate Games’ FPS/MMO Escape from Tarkov has just entered a new stage of testing with the launch of the extended alpha.

This new milestone means more players will be invited to join the action and test out some of the new features. More pre-order players will also be receiving an invite depending on what level of pre-order was purchased. Not a great system but it must be bringing in some cash ahead of a final launch.

The new features being added include the following.

  • A new raid location, the Woods – wide open spaces, dense forest vegetation, entirely new tactics and game experience
  • Weapon failure and repair system
  • Ability to create groups for going into raids together
  • Improved game physics
  • Additional performance optimization and fixes for existing issues

Anyone who can’t resist pre-ordering can do so on this page, but as with all pre-orders, we do recommend you hold off until the game is a little further on in development.
